Bid Number: KL22-38
Bid Description: UT Division of Wildlife Resources: Aquatics Habitat Projects Scope of Work Add artificial habitat elements that complement the needs of the desirable fish sportfish species in each of the targeted water bodies. Reduce the need for continual augmentation of fish via stocking by providing habitat elements conducive to natural recruitment into the fishery for desirable sport species. The need to increase the habitat complexity of these systems is paramount to the sustainability of the wild fish component of the fishery. The complexity that mimics natural vegetation will be obtained by utilizing artificial structures that differ in height, morphology and materials used in construction. Each habitat type used will target a slightly different life history stage of the fish yet will be placed adjacent to the other size/shape structures to allow the young of the year fish to easily transition location to their preferred microhabitat. All three habitat types outlined in the RQS line items will be deployed together in clusters that achieve this diversity of habitat.
