Contract Description/Overview: The District is taking bids for a two (2) year requirement contract for Grit and Screenings Removal and Disposal at All Wastewater Treatment Facilities. The purpose of this bid, and the requirement contract awarded following an evaluation of the bids received, is for the contractor to provide all labor, tools, and equipment as required for hauling away an estimated 11,800 tons of grit and screenings from the three WWTPs, for either disposal in an Ohio EPA approved landfill or for re-use at an Ohio EPA permitted facility through an Ohio EPA approved re-use program for wastewater grit. This quantity is an estimate and is not guaranteed. Estimate: $851,000.00

Other: Bidders that have not previously held this contract within the last three (3) years are required to conduct a MANDATORY pre-bid site inspection at the District's treatment plants to acquaint themselves with existing site conditions. The inspection will show the loading locations, driving routes through the facilities, locations of the weight scale at the Southerly WWTP, the existing loading methods and the contractor supplied containers required to fulfill the contract specifications, per Section DS-6 of the bid package. MANDATORY pre-bid site inspections must be conducted before end of day, Wednesday July 7, 2021. Inspections can be scheduled by contacting the Plant Representatives, noted in section DS-2. A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held via an online GoToMeeting link: https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/432762893 scheduled for Thursday July 8, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. as indicated in DS-19 of the bid documents.
