The Municipality will retain an engineering firm for the following: Part Name: CM of Ridge Pike Section B Project Description: Full time Construction Management for the project includes: construction of Sections A, B and C of Ridge Pike in Montgomery County. Part Name: CM of Ridge Pike Section A Project Description: Full time Construction Management for the project includes: construction of Sections A, B and C of Ridge Pike in Montgomery County. Part Name: CM of Ridge Pike Section C Project Description: Full time Construction Management for the project includes: construction of Sections A, B and C of Ridge Pike in Montgomery County. The Construction Management Services Team's duties include but are not limited to the following: Implement a Project Control System to evaluate and assist the County in the resolution of all related issues, including major field construction problems, engineering design problems, community and public concerns, review of contractors' submissions, contractors' claims, and revised County strategies and requirements. Analyze and evaluate the CPM schedule for the construction project in conjunction with the contract documents and the contractor's submitted CPM schedule and monitor progress during construction. Review, comment and make recommendations concerning scheduling problems. Review the contractors' work sequence and duration for compliance requirements. Consolidate and distribute a management report(s), as required, to summarize management issues, current status, progress, and special meetings as required. Record, document and issue minutes of all meetings. Establish and maintain a system of document control during construction, i.e., correspondence, shop drawings, catalog cuts, submittals, schedules, etc. Attend scheduled pre-bid meetings and preconstruction meetings. Assist in the coordination and preparation of agendas as required to assure continuity of adjacent schedules and construction details. Review cost estimates and coordinate value engineering submissions whether originated by the contractor or the County. Provide advice, make recommendations, and prepare draft correspondence for County signature on specific contractual items, utility, railroad, structure, roadway, environmental, or community related problems during construction. Provide documentation and research for the County's use in negotiating extra and additional work. Review design or construction change requests. Provide claim avoidance evaluations, time impact analysis, and support for claim mitigation or evaluation. Analyze and evaluate impacts on schedule issues, including road user liquidated damages and contract completion liquidated damages. Review contractor's submissions with emphasis upon maintaining the established construction requirements of the County with respect to the constraints imposed by the contract, constructability, physical location, scope of work operations, impact to traffic and roadway conditions and the availability of material required and environmental concerns. Coordinate and participate in community relations, including personal contacts and community meetings. Coordinate resolution of community issues in conjunction with commitments as determined during the design and construction phases of the projects. Coordinate with the County's representative for determination, evaluation and assistance in the resolution of community issues.
