(E05435) PennDOT: (E05435) (LOI/SOI) Design and Misc Services, Bicycle Lane Retrofits. The Department of Transportation will retain an engineering firm for (1) open-end agreement for the services indicated below on various projects. The projects are administered by Engineering District 6-0 and are located in Engineering District 6-0. The Agreement will be for a period of 5 years. with projects assigned on an as-needed basis. The maximum amount of the Open-end Agreement will be 1,000,000 dollars. The work and services which may be required under this Agreement encompass a wide range of engineering efforts with the possibility of several different types of projects with short completion schedules being assigned concurrently. The engineering work and services that may be required under this contract include, but are not limited to: Project Management involving the planning, scheduling, organizing and controlling of resources to achieve specific objectives within established schedule, budget and quality standards. Conducting bicycle facility feasibility reviews of future projects including road diet analyses/review of road diet analyses, traffic signal impacts and other traffic studies to meet deadlines and as assigned by the District 6-0 Bike/Ped Coordinator. Preparing Signing and Pavement Marking plans and other plans/details/drawings as appropriate and as directed by the District 6-0 Bike/Ped Coordinator. Coordinating with Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, County Planning Commissions, attending field views, attending meetings with designers/project managers, assistance with Bicycle Facility Request Letters tracking/recording, and performance of other duties as directed by the District 6-0 Bike/Ped coordinator. Updating Traffic Signal Plans including the Bicycle facility pavement markings and signage. Tracking/ recording updating of impacted traffic signals plans and coordinating with District 6-0 Traffic Signal staff for approval of the updated plans. The firm is expected to be experienced with PennDOT Bicycle Facilities standards and policy, FHWA, MUTCD, NACTO bicycle facilities design guidance and other relevant best practices. The selected firm or firms will be monitored and evaluated on timely signing and pavement marking plans delivery, updating of traffic signal plans and accurate feasibility reviews.
