(PW6006) Gardner: (RFQ) 167th Street, Four Corners Road to Moonlight Road Project - Engineering design services. The City of Gardner is requesting qualifications for the purpose of providing engineering design services as described below. • Perform a preliminary engineering study to establish the horizontal and vertical roadway alignment throughout the 3.5 mile corridor. • Perform final design of the one-mile section of roadway from Center Street to Moonlight Road. Improvements will include: widening to a 3-lane typical section, storm drainage (enclosed or open ditch), Center Street intersection, Moonlight Road intersection, multi-use path, on-street bike lanes, sidewalk, and lighting. The following scope of services is a general outline, which is not intended to be a comprehensive summary of the required services. The final scope of services shall be agreed upon during the contract negotiations. Phase 1 (Preliminary Design – Four Corners to Moonlight) 1. Data Collection 2. Prepare Preliminary Plans. 3. Prepare Right-of-way plans and associated documents. 4. Utility coordination. 5. Prepare updated cost estimates. 6. Assist with public information/outreach. 7. Coordinate with City of Gardner Utility Department regarding their sanitary sewer replacement project. 8. Assist in identifying potential funding sources and applications. Phase 2 (Final Design – Center to Moonlight) 1. Final design and plan production. 2. Obtain permits. 3. Utility coordination. 4. Prepare final cost estimate. 5. Assist with public information/outreach. 6. Prepare bid documents. Phase 3 (Construction – Center to Moonlight) 1. Review shop drawings. 2. Review material submittals. 3. Respond to contractor questions. 4. Provide as-built plans.
