(E05437) PennDOT: (E05437) (SOI/LOI) Design and Misc Services, Mifflin Co Bridge Replacement Project, SR 2008-A02. The Department of Transportation will retain an engineering firm for the following: Part Name: SR 2008 Section A02 - Preliminary Design Project Description: This part consists of the preliminary design for the replacement of the bridge carrying SR 2008 over Branch of Jacks Creek in Decatur Township, Mifflin County. The bridge is located at segment 0020/0693 (Rural Local, Design Year 2026, current ADT 346 / T=9%). The existing structure was built in 1963 and is a 23 foot wide steel culvert. A detour is anticipated for Traffic Control but will need to be evaluated during preliminary design. Required services will include but not be limited to: Project Management (Administration/Scheduling/Meetings), Supplemental Survey, Line/Grade/Typical Sections, Cross Sections, Utility Coordination/S.U.E, H&H Report, Preliminary and Final T.S. & L Reports, SEPS, Structure Borings, Waterway Permit, Preliminary Right-of-Way Plan, Preliminary M.P. & T Plan, Design Field View Package, ESA, and E&SC Plan/Narrative. The Department will complete the survey, Right of Way acquisition and environmental documents with supplemental information provided by the consultant. Part Name: SR 2008 Section A02 - Final Design Project Description: This part consists of the Final Design for the replacement of the structure carrying SR 2008 Section A02 as described under Part 1. Required services will include but not be limited to: Project Management (Administration/Scheduling/Meetings), Supplemental Surveys, Roadway Design/Plans/Constructability Review Coordination, Cross Sections, Utility Engineering, Final Right-of-Way Plan, Final Structure Foundation Report, Final Structure Plans, Traffic Control Plan, Utility Relocation Plan, and P.S. & E package preparation. Part Name: SR 2008 Section A02 - Construction Consultation Project Description: This part consists of the Construction Consultation and Shop Drawing Review for the bridge replacement project SR 2008, Section A02 as described under Part 1. Required services will include but not limited to: Post Design Activities, Shop Drawing Review and Construction Consultation.
