(NA) Boston Planning & Development Agency: *Addenda 1-2* Pier 4 Pile Repairs in the Charlestown Navy Yard - Marine construction services. Pier 4, owned by the BPDA and constructed by the U.S. Navy, measures 60 feet wide by 712-feet in length. In service for 65 years, marine conditions have deteriorated the pier’s steel pipe piles, leaving unreinforced concrete infill exposed, compromising the pier’s lateral capacity. Pier 4 is supported by approximately 490, 16-inch diameter steel pipe piles filled with unreinforced concrete. The estimated contract amount is Ten Million Dollars and No Cents ($10,000,000.00). Repair of steel pipe piles providing the pier both lateral and vertical load capacity.
