(2021-03 ) Town of Castle Rock: *ADDENDA 1-3* Professional Services Engineering Services WOLFENSBERGER WIDENING PROJECT. The Town of Castle Rock’s (Town) Public Works Department is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide engineering services and general technical support for the Wolfensberger Widening Project. The services sought include all facets of project development from design scoping to construction contract advertisement. Selection of proposals will be qualifications and best value based. Upon award of selection, the selected firm is required to attend a scoping meeting with the Town prior to final contract negotiations. The cost to attend this meeting shall be borne by the consultant. The Town is accepting statements of qualifications and proposals from engineering firms having expertise or partnering capability in: •Transportation planning and design of municipal roadways •Storm drainage design associated with transportation projects •Water Quality/Floodplain Design •Design Administration •Design of Roundabout •Traffic analysis & studies •Design of pedestrian facilities •Survey Control and Topographic Design Surveying/Mapping •Preparation Land Survey Plats/Right-of-Way and Ownership Maps •Preparation of Legal Descriptions •Geotechnical Investigation and Pavement Design services •Traffic Signal Design •Construction Phasing / Traffic Control Plans •Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Survey and Plans •Environmental Clearances •Right of Way Clearance/Land acquisition services •Post Design Services The Wolfensberger Widening project includes roadway capacity and operational improvements of Wolfensberger from Prairie Hawk Drive to the Town of Castle Rock western limits including pedestrian and bicycle facility additions. The project is located just west of downtown Castle Rock beginning at the intersection of Prairie Hawk Drive and Wolfensberger Road and ending at the western Town limits west of Felicity Loop. Wolfensberger Road is classified as a major arterial and functions as a regional roadway. Within the project limits, Wolfensberger intersects two major arterial roadways (Coachline Drive and Prairie Hawk Drive), two collector streets (Red Hawk Drive and Auburn Drive) and multiple local roads and private accesses. The improvements implemented with this project include; road widening to accommodate a full 4-lane major arterial roadway section, on-street bike lanes, intersection improvements at Wolfensberger and Prairie Hawk Drive, and roundabout improvements at Red Hawk Drive and Auburn Drive. Multi-use path/sidewalk implementation, storm drainage improvements and water quality improvements will also be included. Project design is expected to be completed by early 2023 with right-of-way acquisitions in 2023 and construction starting in 2024.
