(NA) Burlington: Design-Build Trenchless Rehabilitation of Flynn Avenue Sewage Forcemain. The City of Burlington (“City”) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide design-build services for the design and construction of approximately 490 feet of 6-inch diameter sewage forcemain located on Flynn Avenue. The new pipe installation will consist of a railway crossing and shall be installed following the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) Standards using a trenchless method to avoid excavation in and around the railway’s right of-way (ROW). The new sewage forcemain will connect to an existing HDPE section of the existing forcemain. The existing 6-inch diameter cast iron sewage forcemain that is being replaced is to be abandoned in place and filled as required by AREMA standards. The project consists of furnishing all design documents, labor, materials, and equipment for the design and installation of the new section of the forcemain, and abandonment of the existing portion of forcemain that is being replaced.
