(05A2423) CALTRANS: w/ *ADDENDUM 1* State Route 17 Resiliency and Adaptation Plan. Contractor (hereinafter sometimes referred to as Consultant) agrees to develop a Resiliency and Adaptation Plan (plan) addressing climate change events such as increased precipitation, mudslides, and wildfires that affect roadway operations on State Route (SR) 17 from SR 1 in Santa Cruz to Interstate 280/880 in San Jose, an overall corridor length of about 27 miles, to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), as described herein. The services shall be performed within the State of California and will include locations along the SR 17 Corridor in Santa Cruz County, Santa Clara County, Alameda County (District 4 Office), San Luis Obispo County (District 5 Office), and virtual meeting platforms, as directed by the Caltrans Contract Manager and as agreed. The proposed study would develop a Resiliency and Adaptation Plan (Plan) for the SR 17 Corridor, a critical interregional link between the Monterey Bay Area in District 5 and Silicon Valley and the greater San Francisco Bay Area in District 4. Building from previous efforts such as the District 5 Highway 17 Access Management Plan, Transportation Concept Reports, Vulnerability Assessments, and Adaptation Priority Reports, the Plan seeks to engage corridor stakeholders and the public to establish a collective corridor vision and recommend adaptation strategies that would strengthen the resiliency of the SR 17 Corridor.
