Grays Harbor County Public Hospital District #1 : A&E Services Summit Pacific Medical Center Hospital Expansion. Grays Harbor County Public Hospital District #1 dba Summit Pacific Medical Center requests Architect and Engineer Qualifications for an expansion to the existing hospital facility located in Elma, WA. Submittals Due: May 11, 2022, at 3 PM In accordance with Chapter 39.80 RCW, Summit Pacific Medical Center is utilizing the request for qualifications process for acquiring architectural and selected engineering services. This entity invites your firm to submit qualifications for architectural and engineering services for the design, construction administration and related services for the new Summit Pacific Medical Center Hospital Expansion Project. The project is intended be delivered using the General Contractor Construction Manager [GCCM] approach. The project scope includes new construction for expanded ED, inpatient and MRI facilities as well as remodel construction for existing ED and public areas as well as expanded parking and a relocated heliport. A new single-story 23,000 SF Building Expansion will be connected to the current hospital as an addition to the hospital campus. The estimated construction cost budget for this project is $25,000,000 exclusive of soft costs required for the project development. For the purpose of this submittal, engineering firm qualifications will be limited to those disciplines traditionally under the management of the architect [structural, mechanical, electrical]. Civil Engineering services are currently contracted by SPMC, and the firm will be assigned to the successful A/E applicant. The architect should include related consultants such as acoustical engineering, cost consulting and the like on the team. Land surveyor, heliport design and geotechnical engineering shall be retained by Owner. Submittal Requirements: SUBMIT TO: Eight [8] copies of your Statement of Qualifications must be received no later than 3 PM on May 11, 2022, at the Summit Pacific Medical Center Executive Offices, Attention Josh Martin, CEO, 600 E Main Street, Elma, WA 98541. Please limit your submittal package to no more than twenty [20] total pages. All questions regarding the submittal shall be directed by email to: Dick Bratton, DBPMLLC, dbrattonpmllc@outlook.com, no later than May 4, 2022. Answers will be documented in an addendum and available upon request May 5, 2022. Please adhere to the following submittal requirements and order of response as listed numerically below: 1. General Information about your firm, location, size, length of time in business, etc. 2. Provide three examples of similar projects your firm has designed within the last 6 years, with highlighting successes on design and coordination for expanding ED, In-patient and MRI operations to existing and active hospital programs. 3. Provide project experience using the GCCM method of project delivery. 4. Provide your firm’s approach to interaction with the District and community members. 5. Provide proposed architectural staff and resumes. 6. Provide proposed engineering team consultants and their related experience and staff resumes. 7. List of professional references form public and private health care clients. 8. Other information that you feel differentiates your firm from others A selection committee comprised of SPMC EX Staff and Hospital Board members will evaluate each RFQ submittal with a weighted grading procedure as follows: Qualifications/Project Related Experience/Team = 50 points References/Past Performance = 20 points Experience working with public agencies = 15 Points Experience in working with GCCM contracting format = 10 Points Presentation content/quality = 5 points Selection of a firm may be made directly from submitted statements of qualifications or the result of subsequent firm interviews at the Owner’s discretion. The Owner has the right to reject all submittals.
