|Bid Description:||Bakersfield: w/ *ADDENDA 1-2* (RFQ) Programmable Logic Controller Upgrade Project. The work to be performed consists, in general, of performing the following scope of work: reverse engineer existing Unity Pro program and convert/upgrade PLC program; procure and install hardware; integrate software; provide follow-up support and warranty support as required and complete all work in a timely manner. The City of Bakersfield (City) desires to enter into an agreement with one qualified Contractor to upgrade Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) located at Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 (Plant 2) and Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 3 (Plant 3). The term of agreement shall be in place for three years until December 31, 2024, and may be extended at the City’s option depending on project needs and upon mutually agreeable terms. Plant 2 and 3 have multiple PLCs that control the plant process based on input variables and manual switches. Each PLC is designed and programmed to control the associated processes. The PLCs communicate with several motor operated valves and VFD’s over a Profibus, Modbus, Modbus +, and a RIO communication link. The Contractor selected shall be capable of performing the following scopes of work: reverse engineer existing Unity Pro program and convert/upgrade PLC program; procure and install hardware; integrate software; and provide follow-up support and warranty support as required. The Contractor selected shall be capable of performing required tasks and successfully complete work in a timely manner. Contractor will be selected based upon their qualifications and experience related to this scope of work. A Contractor that is certified as a Schneider Electric Registered Alliance Partner is required.|
