|Bid Description:||BAKERSFIELD: w/ *REVISED RFQ* (RFQ/RFP) Groundwater Monitoring and Reporting services. The work to be performed consists, in general, of sampling ground water monitoring wells and piezometers, submitting samples and receiving lab reports, and computing all lab information into quarterly or annual reports that will be submitted the California Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. Groundwater will be sampled at three different sites. The City of Bakersfield has groundwater monitoring wells installed at three locations in the Bakersfield area; Wastewater Treatment Plant 2 (WWTP #2), Wastewater Treatment Plant 3 (WWTP #3), and the I-5 Farm Site, see Attachment RFQ/P-3 for location maps. The Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRs) for WWTP #2 and WWTP #3 require the quarterly monitoring of the perched and unconfined groundwater in the vicinity of the wastewater treatment plants and beneath the farmland where the treated effluent is beneficially reused. The City plans to enter into a three-year agreement with a groundwater consulting firm which has documented extensive experience in the sampling, monitoring and reporting of groundwater conditions in the southern San Joaquin Valley and is capable of providing all necessary field and professional services for the Scope of Work as described in this RFQ/P.|
