MDOT: Inspection and Testing Services-Grand Region. JOB NUMBER(S): 119012A, 123139A, 123141A, 123142A PROJECT LOCATION: Project is located on US-131 from 14 Mile to White Creek Avenue in Kent County. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: JN 119012A, US-131 asphalt reconstruction from 14 Mile Road to White Creek in Kent County, work entails reconstruction of US-131 including guardrail, culverts, curb and gutter, signing, pavement markings, and reconstruction of 14 Mile Road and 17 Mile Road Ramps. 2 full time inspectors and 1 part time tester are anticipated. JN 123139A, This project includes work on the M-46 Bridge over US-131. Work includes deck patching, epoxy overlay, partial painting and pin & hanger replacement, replacement of cross frames, substructure patching, joint replacement and concrete approach replacement. 1 full time inspector/tester is anticipated. JN 123141A, 123142A, This project includes work on the US-131 Northbound and Southbound bridges over White Creek Avenue. Work includes a deep overlay, zone painting, pin and hanger replacement, substructure repair, railing replacement, concrete surface coating and concrete approach replacement. 1 fulltime inspector/tester is anticipated. The Consultant shall provide, to the satisfaction of the Department, Construction Services as generally described herein: project for construction work to be performed by the Construction Contractor until completion of work by the Construction Contractor and acceptance of the Project and construction services by the Department. The Construction Services for inspection and testing are as follows: inspection, quality assurance testing and reporting, measurement, computation and documentation of quantities. The schedule for this project shall be considered to be 6 days a week, 10 hours a day. The consultant must demonstrate that it has the qualified individuals available to meet this schedule. Weekend work shall be required and some night work may be required. MDOT also reserves the right to modify the number of inspectors based on work load.
